Let Claude and other AI assistants read your notes and tasks, add to documents, and tick off tasks for you. MCP access is included with Writa Pro.
Writa runs a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Once connected, an assistant can:
Changes appear live in the Writa app on all your devices. Assistants add to-dos as task cards and keep them as simple checkboxes. They only set a status such as In Progress when you ask. Nothing is ever permanently deleted: trashed notes can be restored.
Every assistant connects to the same address:
https://mcp.getwrita.com/mcpYou’ll be asked to sign in to your Writa account the first time. There are no API keys or tokens to copy. In the Writa app you can also find this under Settings → AI Assistants.
The connector then works in Claude on every device you use. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.
Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http writa https://mcp.getwrita.com/mcpThen run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose Writa to sign in.
Or add a server in Cursor Settings → MCP with the server URL.
Or run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, and paste the server URL.
Any app that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in can connect with the server URL.
See our Privacy Policy for details.
MCP access is for your own personal use and is subject to fair-use limits. We may limit how often or how much assistants can call the server, and we may change those limits or how MCP access works at any time, to keep Writa fast and reliable for everyone. Automated or bulk use that places an unreasonable load on the service may be throttled or suspended.
